The Grange School, Dorset

 ‎

The Grange School in Dorset are starting their MiSST journey in September 2022 with violins. The school is quite close to the Bourne Academy, so we look forward to some collaborations this year!

Music returned to the The Grange School curriculum in September 2021. The Department has grown quickly over the last year. The newly formed school choir has had several performance opportunities in school and at outside venues including The Priory, The Regent Centre and New Milton Festival. This coming year we are growing the extra-curricular provision to include Keyboard Club, Guitar Club and Violin Club.

MiSST Coordinator- I’m excited to be leading this new opportunity for our students at TGS. Playing the violin has provided me with so many opportunities and experiences, including traveling the world performing in orchestras. I look forward to starting this journey with our students, and the opportunities it will open up for them.

Headteacher - We’re delighted to be working with MiSST. Our school has had a number of successes in recent months, having been judged as “good” by Ofsted for the first time in over a decade in December 2021. To be able to provide our students with the rich music curriculum provided by MiSST is the icing on the cake and will offer our students opportunities that would otherwise not be possible. I’m looking forward to the first MiSST concert!”
